My mom, Bjørg Rodny Jørgensen. Born in 1923 in the far north of Norway (69 degrees N) on the island of Grytøy, learned to knit and felt and make clothes that would keep the family warm. She married my dad, Werner, from the neighboring island of Sandsøy. That's where they settled and where I grew up. She encouraged me to try new things and always helped when she could.
Åse Alstadseter, my elementary school fiber arts teacher, would always let us do complicated projects - if she thought we could handle it. It made me try new techniques and not be afraid of trying complicated projects at a very early age. Thank you, Åse!
**Sharon Mansfield has taught me the most about wet felting. @The Tin Thimble
**Karin Skacel http://www.skacelknitting.com
**Judy Pascale was my first wet felting teacher http://www.judypascale.com
There are many Wet Felting / Art Felting groups on Facebook that can give you inspirations and network. I follow several and I'm in awe what can be done with wool fibers.
